Companion to its darker sibling, but here the land opens up. Same row of dark trees on the horizon, same pink earth, but the centre splits wide into pale lavender light like the ground is exhaling. Burgundy masses flank the clearing, a navy line cuts across, and the foreground dissolves into hot pink and cream. The land took everything in the first painting. In this one, it's giving something back.
